To use the uninstaller, simply download it and then double-click on ESETUninstaller.exe.

(antidotal, not been confirmed, but has been shown to work.)ģ) After applying the agent command "Uninstall" use the command c:\program files (x86)\webroot\wrsa.exe -poll in CMD as it tends to be more reliable to get the agent to call home.Ĥ) Send the "unmanaged" policy down to the endpoints. This tool performs a manual removal of ESET products that it detects on your computer. If it's daily, then the uninstall command will not get applied for well 24 hours.ġ) Try turning the policy polling in Basic Configurations to 15 minutes and applying the uninstall agent command.Ģ) You may also want to turn the UAC down on these endpoints as we've seen that get in the way of accepting the agent command. 9.0.27.64 or higher does take the uninstall command reliably, but it may take a few minutes to get applied and/or is dependent on the policy polling cycle you have assigned. If you have a remote screen sharing tool that allows safemode and for those not taking the uninstall command, this may be another way to remove the agent.ĭepending to the agent version, the console deactivate and uninstall do work reliably as an issue was fixed a few months ago.

Those methods will not work directly on an endpoint unless it's unlocked or in safemode. I can send you a PM with my company name and phone and we can discuss privately with you wish.ITHelp0011 - Sorry to hear you've had issues. I know how my post is looking suspicious to you, since this is my first post, and you have 11K but this is a genuine question.

If the option is not available on ERA, is there a way to remove the Endpoint AV remotely by script? or do you have an Uninstall_ESET.app we can push or how? I would not want to go manually one by one, so I could remove the client. So we wanted to remove the Endpoint AV remotely via a script or command option we can push to our deployment group, which is managed by our MDM. Currently we have a problem with a test group we are experiencing some DNS issue and we can't target the mac's properly via ERA. The point is I havent found a way to remove the Endpoint AV remotely. Because the process would be running in elevated form. If the endpoint is managed by a higher authority this shouldnt be a problem. Since you mentioned that ERA Agent was installed, did you try uninstalling ESET via ERA ? Otherwise any malware or attacker could do that to disable protection first prior to performing other malicious actions.

It shouldn't be possible to uninstall any AV software easily via scripting.
